Marino Bartoletti forced to close the social networks for the haters

A VIP leaves social media due to the weight of hatred. It is not the first time that we have told this type of facts: in the past actors, journalists and other TV and entertainment personalities have taken the drastic decision to close their interaction channels (and not for their will). Even today there is a part of the web surfers who cannot open their eyes by dispensing controversy and hatred from one side to the other. An attitude difficult to control, especially if you are a public figure.

The case of Marino Bartoletti brings us back to what is in effect a bad vice in the world of the web. The journalist has always wanted to establish a friendly relationship with his followers, telling private facts of his life. Among the latest that concern him in chronological order, the battle he is waging against cancer, an evil he spoke of during an episode of Today is another day, on Rai 1.

Bartoletti is fed up with certain behaviors that he himself did not hesitate to call cowards in a very long post on Facebook. This is the first part of the last published post:

It is true, I have found many wonderful travel companions who have followed me in the spirit and pleasure of a fertile exchange. But I also found a mass – at a certain point for me uncontrollable – of characters essentially doomed to unhappiness (as well as to insolence, ignorance, gratuitous rudeness, provocation, seeking the moment of glory, denial evidence, anonymous cowardice, victimhood, pernicious graphomania, fanaticism, senseless hatred, in some cases barbarism) “thanks” to which I understood that my time was absolutely wasted. And, therefore, that the very small attempt at “civilization” was wrecked.

Marino Bartoletti: “My page? It has all become a battlefield “

The journalist is even discouraged from finding real feuds between followers even for a post dedicated – paradoxically – to examples of sportsmanship:

At times I had the feeling that whatever I wrote was completely useless to those who already had an answer “whatever” in the pipeline.

Not to mention blind and unreasonable “ultraism”: for which a post on the interesting (and rare) meeting Guccini-Sarri. Or another on gentlemen like Baggio and Baresi cited as an example of sportsmanship become a pretext for clashes and cross insults between followers.

Thus comes the explanation of his farewell to social networks:

I can also read, answer, be silent, reply, swallow or, at the very least, block (which I have rarely done, always convinced that it is not the most constructive way): but I cannot spend my days (and my nights) doing the “sentinel” of what could and should have been a fertile ground for confrontation and which instead too many times has become an uncontrollable and often uncivil battlefield on the part of those who have only the desire to attack, offend and poison the wells of a correct coexistence (often in the name of a “belonging” interpreted in a possessed way). But at this point no longer on my page, thanks!

So, the final greetings: “I will miss many of you”. And who knows that there will never be an afterthought in the future …
